Merry Christmas to One and All
This beautiful message came to us from a loved friend. It touched my heart so much that I asked her if I could share it with all of you and she gave her permission. We just want to add that we love you and hope that you have a blessed Christmas with family and friends. Vicki and Usama |

The Counterfeit Christmas of Mohammed In an interfaith meeting in Memphis, Tennessee, with James White, Imam Yasir Qadi emphasized Jesus’ humanity, not His divinity, when he stated: “He is the Messiah sent to the children of Israel and He was born of the Virgin Mary and He came with the exact same message and teachings of the previous prophets: monotheism, worship and love God with all your heart, and obey and follow the law. This is the fundamental and differences that Christians and Muslims have.” I would love to ask Imam Qadhi and other Muslims which virgin birth story they believe. Do they believe the virgin birth according to the Bible account or the story according to the Qur’an? Of course, Muslims believe the story of the Qur’an, but which story in the Qur’an? Is it the story found in Qur’an chapter 3 or in chapter 19? The Mary in Qur’an 3:42-48 is a completely different Mary from the one in Qur’an 19:16-30. Mohammed taught Muslims in the Qur’an that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was the daughter of Amran (Qur’an 66:12 and 19:28), making her the sister of Aaron and Moses. According to the Bible, Mary, the mother of Jesus, is the daughter of Heli (Luke 3:23) and has nothing to do with Mary, the sister of Moses and Aaron. The two Qur’an virgin birth stories contradict each other in other points. We will first look at Qur’an 19:16-21 and 24. 16And remember in the book Miriam, when she went apart from her family to an eastern place. 17So she took a veil apart from them. So we sent our spirit to her, so he appeared to her a normal human. 18She said, "Surely I seek refuge with the merciful from you if you were a fearer." 19He said, "Surely I am only a messenger of your lord that I may grant to you a righteous son." 20She said, "How can I have a son when no man has touched me, and I was not unchaste?" 21He said, "Likewise, your lord says, 'It is easy for me, and we will make him a sign to the people and a mercy from us.'" And it was a decreed matter…. 24So he (the baby) called her from below her, "Do not grieve... In verses 17 and 21, the normal human talking to Mary is the spirit of Allah. The rest of the story continues in verses 22-30 which describe Mary giving birth under a palm tree in some remote place, wishing she had died before giving birth, and then had a conversation with baby “Jesus.” Compare this with Qur’an 3:42-48. 42And when the angels said, "O Mary, surely Allah has chosen you and purified you and chosen you above the women of the worlds. …45When the angels said, "O Mary, surely Allah gives you the good news with a word from him. His name is the Christ, ‘Isā, son of Mary, exalted in this world and in the hereafter, and of the nearer. 46And he will speak to the people from the cradle and in his old age. And of the good." 47She said, "My lord, how can I have a son when no man has touched me?" He said, "Likewise, Allah creates what he wills. When he makes a command, so he surely only says to it, 'Be,' so it will be. Notice that in 3:42 and 45, Mary is talking to angels. In the Arabic language, the plural refers to three or more, so she was talking to at least three angels, not a normal human being (the spirit of Allah) as we read in chapter 19. In verse 45, the “word from him,” Jesus is the word of Allah. Since Allah is eternal, Jesus must be eternal. Also, what is the good news? It is: His name is the Christ, ‘Isā, son of Mary. Verse 3:46 however does agree with Qur’an 19:24 in that Muslims believe that baby Jesus spoke right after birth. When Mary says she is a virgin and asks how can she have a son in 19:20 and 3:47, the answers are different. Qur’an 19: 21 states: "Likewise, your lord says, 'It is easy for me, and we will make him a sign to the people and a mercy from us.'" And it was a decreed matter…. The answer to this question in Qur’an 3:24 states: "Likewise, Allah creates what he wills. When he makes a command, so he surely only says to it, 'Be,' so it will be. So, Muslims and Imam Qadhi, which story do you believe? Not only does the virgin birth story in the Qur’an contradict itself, it also contradicts the true account of the Bible. Jesus was 100 percent man and was tempted in every way but did not sin. He was the only perfect human. Jesus fulfilled in Luke 1:26 the prophecy, written 700 years earlier, in Isaiah 7:14: Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. Mohammed left out the important part in the Bible where the angel proclaimed in Luke 1:35: 35 … that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. Jesus IS the Son of God. He is God who became flesh as written in John 1:1-3: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. Jesus was not a created thing by Allah as Mohammed stated in Qur’an 3:47. Jesus is God the Creator of all things who became flesh to bring God’s salvation to all mankind. We wish you God’s peace and blessing this Christmas and throughout the New Year. For more information about our ministry, visit www.thestraightway.org. |
